Lately

The live version of this seems to differ from the original version on Grand Parade (will try to post that too later). I've given diagrams at the end as F6/G and G9/D were new chords for me.

Code: Select all

Lately - The Frank and Walters - Live at Debarra's (Key=C)

Intro: F6/G, C/G alternating

F6/G
Lately I've come to realise
              C/G
That I'm growing old
F6/G
Lately I've come to realise
             C/G
That I'm going cold
                  F6/G
I have been out at the edge of this town
               C/G
And I feel alone
               F6/G
I've given up reaching out
                                         C/G
And think that I'm turning to stone
                     F6/G
God keep my gentle side
                    C/G
Help me feel safe at night
                 F6/G
Help me to understand
               C/G
All of my fellowman

Bridge:

F6/G
Step to the side
            Em
Pass it over pass
            Dm C/G G9/D C/G
Pass it over pass it on

(twiddle on G9/D)

Repeat

F6/G
Lately I've come to realise
          C/G
I've a lot to learn
F6/G
Lately I've come to realise
             C/G
That it's time to turn
                F6/G
I won't be down at the edge of the road
              C/G
That you left behind
               F6/G
I will not stand for this way of indifference
                        C/G
I'm changing my mind

                F6/G
I thought I knew it all
                   C/G
I thought I'd never fall
                   F6/G
I thought I'd reached the sun
                        C/G
Was better than any-one

Bridge x2

Outro:

F6/G C/G
F6/G C/G
F6/G F6/G
F6/G C/G

Chords:

e -1-------0-----1------
B -1-------1-----0------
G -2-------0-----0------
D -0-------2-----0------

UPDATE: The version on GP seems to replace F6/G, C/G with F#m, E and the bridge progression becomes A, G#m, F#m, E. And, there's no 9 chord twiddle either. So, it's almost a straight transposition to the key of E but not quite.
