Thanks to Keeffa for hosting these files. Due to space restrictions the original files were re-encoded at a lower bitrate. If anyone wants the original 192 kbps stereo mp3's you can still download the 191MB RAR archive here:-
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=AJXIZUB6

I thought I had a poor quality rip of the Peel session as well but it has turned out to be the 24th August 1991 Mark Goodier session. It's in 44.1 Kbps RealAudio. I've put it in another RAR archive together with the 1993 Top of the Pops video. The file is 71MB and can be downloaded from:-

Mr. Xavier - thanks a million!!! Those are really excellent recordings.

I had a very poor copy on tape of "Manchester University Radio 1 15 September 1992" and on the tape it is marked "Sound City 1992" - can anyone confirm that's where it was?

I also had a very poor copy of "Sheffield Hallem University - Radio 1 5 April 1993", so that's great to have a good copy of it.

The version of Indian Ocean on "Mark Radcliff Show - Radio 1 27 June 1996" is the one on the Spanish 7" EP version of Indian Ocean (the one that I was referring to a while back with the cowbell).

Sound City 1992 was in Norwich, so it's definitely not Manchester! Sound City 1993 was in Sheffield. I think I do remember the Manchester IN the City takeover - that's probably what the Manchester one is! :)

I was 16 and living in Gt Yarmouth when Sound City was on in 1992, it was SO frustrating not to be able to see ANY of all these amazing bands playing 20 miles away from me as all the venues were over 18 and I looked 12-13 and not even 16-18! I have loads of stuff on tape still of all the recordings. Probably not the greatest in the world, but I've now got an MP3 tape converter so when I get time to start going through my hundreds, possibly thousand odd or more tapes, I'll start digitising them.
I remember listening live to a lot of these recordings! Lovely to have them! Really enjoying listening to SC1993 atm! :D

Yes, that one was from the Go! Discs night during In The City 1992. No memories but I must have been there.

Bit of a long shot this, but if anyone still has a copy of the high quality recordings I'd love a copy? Megaupload has long gone...

Thanks
