This was fantastic!! Normally the Acoustic Club isn't brilliant for non acoustic gigs, but the guys pulled it off. They were in great form. They said it was a bit like in the Mafia movies with the cabaret tables. Ash said he'd have to hide a body in the boot of his car on the way home to complete the scene. Can't remember the order : Tony Cochrane, Miles & Miles, Somewhere in the City, Stages, Plenty Times, We are the Young Men, Goddess of Athena - Paul (skitting) Stop making jokes Ash, the next song is a very sad one, how will I be able to sing it?? ... Watch how I'll change in a moment... It's all about being a performer - And Goddess of Athena was suitably sad followed by an equally solemn (yet as always strangely uplifting) How can I exist. They also did Indian Ocean ( God I love it) The Model, This is not a song,The Parson....It was difficult to stay sitting; irishshin & I finally got up for COLOURS. Great gig altogether. Margo was playing next door. Next day we were asked by two different people, in all sincerity, if she was the one we'd been to see... Oh dear!!
