George O'Callaghan's just signed for the Seagulls (Brighton). Anyone know if he is any good?, dubbed the Irish Zidane?
Ash what do u reckon?

Looking forward to the Brighton gig, should be a big crowd. Even if I will be missing the football!

hi hbusman, o' Callaghan is amazing, one of the best players i've seen, he really could have been as famous as zidane if he had a slice of luck, he has a bit of a temper though, and a george best streak too, wrong era i guess, looking forward to Brighton ourselves....ash

He'll be the best, most skilfull, most aggressive midfielder ye'll have, he'll endear himself to the fans then he'll do something stupid and piss off.

No, i'm not bitter :p

We had him at Ipswich for a while - never saw much of him as he struggled to make it into the first team - I had high hopes for him based on reports from Cork, think he has got potential - hopefully he can fulfill it with the Seagulls - you guys deserve to be playing at a higher level.

Sounds good.

It would be great to see him at the Franks gig, but if he's as good Ash says he is, he better be playing for the Albion against Millwall, as they are playing on the Friday night as well. However, the Franks come 1st so I've given my seat up to my Mum!

Rumours doing the rounds that he may be set for a return to Cork City. As a City fan I ain't sure do we need him and neither am I sure do I personally want him back after him walking out on the CLUB after a bust up with the MANAGER. The difference is in the capiltal letters!

Actually...it would be good if he came back but I wouldn't be bowing down to him if I saw him on the road.

Great player though.

He's back at Ipswich, had a fall-out with the Brighton chairman and didn't want to extend his loan spell!
