Saw The Automatic last night, were ok, played a lot of new stuff which was quite 'thrashy'! Hope to catch Ida Maria again in a couple of weeks and of course The Franks in Brixton!

Not really a gig but I went to see the comedian Simon Day last week - remember him from the Fast Show? He was doing stand-up and not his Fast Show characters (which was a shame) but we did get him to do some of his catch phrases over a pint in the bar afterwards!

Saw Glasvegas last night on the NME tour, they were pretty good although their style of music seems to work better on CD rather than live.

Excellent support line-up:
Friendly Fires - great energy indie/dance style tunes
White Lies - well worth checking out
Florence & the Machine - amazing female lead vocal

Going to see The Killers in a couple of weeks....

Saw The Killers at Birmingham's 14,000 capacity LG Arena on Thursday night, played a lot of the new album and all the old favourites - Mr Brightside still brings the house down!

humphrey - yes please! Wendy would love it. They played a great version of Smile like you mean it with lots of piano which sounded really good.

Heading to see David Byrne on Monday. Saw him almost 20 years ago. Really looking forward to it. Anyone else on here going?

Saw The Eneny (for 2nd time) in Norwich last night - they were amazing! Main support Twisted Wheel were also excellent. Both bands continue the tour and come to Cork on 18th April - get along to Cyprus Avenue if you can get a ticket!

caught the quiffed one @ The Omagh Leisure Centre last night...absolutely brilliant. He was in some form. Kicked off with This Charming Man, ran through a brilliant mix of old and new solo material with How Soon is Now, Ask, Girlfriend in a Coma, Some Girls..... Non-Smiths highlights of the night were I'm Throwing my Arms Around Paris and Hector the Rascal, super super stuff

Saw the Doves last night, brilliant gig, they were on top form, still going strong after about 20 years (sound familiar!). Check out their new album, best new album so far this year!
