Re: Denis Behan and Colin Healy
Now then.
My team (Hartlepool United) have just signed Denis Behan from Cork and we are waiting on Colin Healy to agree terms after an offer being accepted.
Any thoughts? I'm more aware of Healy than Behan as he used to play for Sunderland.

yeah, that's what i thought.
Sounds like Behan will be more of a bench player as our 2 main forwards (Adam Boyd and James Brown) are both quality.
Healy hasn't signed yet so this might not happen.

Behan is a disaster! so glad he's gone, it was tough for him playing up front by himself I guess, on the plus side he has a great shot and does get stuck in, a few seasons back he was used as an impact player for the last twenty minutes of games and he did quite well.....will be gutted if Healy goes, he is total class, could easily play at a higher level, word is that he's settled in Cork so may not want to leave, time will tell.......ash

We're playing Sheffield Wednesday in a friendly and there's talk of Healy being announced before the game as the new signing. Can't see it myself. He was definitely in town for talks along with Behan at the weekend.
A lot of websites already have him down as a Hartlepool United player, particularly in Ireland, but no deal has been announced.
Behan will be used as an impact substitute I reckon as we now have 5 strikers at the club and all of them have different attributes.

Good luck to the fella. I thought it might have been too good to be true.
For any Cork fans, Behan has been pretty impressive so far. Holds the ball up well and brings others into play. Early days yet though!

Jish - Healy has been pants for us and never even gets in the squad any more. In a twist of fate it looks like he will be joining Hartlepool on loan - I bet Jeff Stelling will be pleased!
PS - have you read Jeff's book - its a good read!

I've not read Jeffs book yet. Was expecting it for Christmas but it never arrived. I'll pick it up somewhere though!
Still no sign of Healey signing. Seems Mr Keane wants us to pay all of his wages!

Looks like Healy is going to Falkirk now!
Lets hope Keano reduces the wage bill then brings in a couple of prolific strikers before the end of the month!

He started of slowly. His first game was a 0-5 defeat against MK Dons!!! :O
Since then, he's showing that he's making a difference. I've only seen him once when he bossed the midfield but the other 2 games he's played in (away to Charlton and Norwich City) he's meant to have been by far our best player.

Good to hear. I would've expected him to start slowly, coming to you in our off-season and before pre-season training. You haven't seen the best of him yet I'd say.
